What is success?

Before we think, please read the following three dialogues.

Reader A: “Success means wealth and status.”

Socrates: ”If someone gains wealth through fraud, is that success? If you lose wealth but find inner peace, is that failure?”

‌Reader A: "Well…"

Socrates: "It seems ‘success’ is more complex than you assumed?"

Reader B:”Success means stay with the people that you love.”

Socrates:”If the people that you love was dead , is that you may never get success?”

Reader B:”I'm afraid I don't think so.”

Socrates: "It seems ‘success’ is more complex than you assumed?"

Reader C:”Success means you make others envious.”

Socrates:”If a person is born wealthy and others always envy them, does it mean that they have been successful from birth?”

Reader C:”That’s a good question. Let me think about it……“

Socrates: "It seems ‘success’ is more complex than you assumed?"
